ABOUT US
Turning Interest Into Action
The brainchild of former Justice Iqbal Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Dr. Upneet Lalli(Deputy Director of Insittute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh), Social Action Foundation for Equity also abbreviated as SAFE, aims to protect, promote, sensitize, advocate for and improve upon a wide range issues plaguing the modern world. Ranging from access to justice and human rights to education and environment, SAFE intends to create a sense of awareness and mobilize today’s youth to bring about positive social change.

Supported by a dedicated team of lawyers, social workers, academicians and students ,the work we do at SAFE is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. Under the able stewardship of Dr. Upneet Lalli we at SAFE work towards a variety of causes ranging from education and environment to access to justice and human rights.
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE ADVOCACY
Advocating a restorative approach
In association with the Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh, the Restorative justice advocacy programmes aim to make the criminal justice system more victim-oriented. It opens doors for healing of crime victims, transformation of offenders through accountability & restoration of communities also injured by crime. We sensitize people within and outside the criminal justice system through seminars and lectures.
